About the Circuit

Interlagos

Built in 1940, Interlagos has hosted the Brazilian Grand Prix since 1973. The circuit runs counterclockwise, making it quite unique. In 2008, Felipe Massa was the World Champion for 39 seconds until Lewis Hamilton managed to clinch 5th place and dethrone the Brazilian driver. The circuit has 15 corners and 2 DRS zones. Turns 1-3 are known as the "S do Senna," a tribute to Brazilian 3x World Champion Ayrton Senna.
